Oh, Hi September! You got here quickly! I know a lot of people get a little frustrated at your cool weather and grey skies but I always like it when you start turning the leaves brown and blow the wind so much that we have to wrap up warm before stepping outside. September, you make it cosy, and I like it!
Having said that, I did love August. Sunshine, holidays and more crazy experiences than I could have even dreamt of!
So, August Favourites, Here we go!
- My new Cath Kidston Bag

This bag has been perfect for all my adventures this month. When I was in America, it was such a cross between city and country, between strutting the streets in silly shoes and walking along the beach barefoot, and this bag, with its detachable backpack straps, has been ideal for every eventuality! It also has a section that perfectly fits my macbook so I imagine it will be hugely useful over the coming months too! Plus, it’s pretty! 🙂
2. New Essie Nail-Varnishes (pic above)
I decided to treat myself to a few new Essie colours recently and I can’t get enough of them – toooo pretty! Perfect for a cosy night in curled up on the sofa. 🙂
Blue – “Lapiz of Luxury”Pink – “Lovie Dovie”“In The Mood For Nude” – set containing “Ballet Slippers” and “Spin The Bottle”
3. Benefit Pore-fessional primer

This is a complete dream! I’ve been looking for a good primer for a while and this is amazing! Is it a cream? Is it a powder? I honestly can’t tell – it is so so soft!! It is perfect underneath foundation but also works when you need a bit of a tidy up during a busy day – Amazing!
Buy it here.
4. The Ghost by Robert Harris

I was bought this book for my birthday as one of the places I was visiting on my American Adventure (see here for my first post about the trip) was Martha’s vineyard, where this book is set.
It took me a couple of chapters to get into it, but once I was in, I was hooked and quite literally couldnt’t put it down until I knew what happened in the end.
I love getting stuck into a good book and I was well and truly stuck in!
5. Broadway

I haven’t posted my “New York” blog about that part of my trip yet but I had to say something on here about Broadway. I’ve seen shows in the West End, and all around the UK but have always wanted to see a show on Broadway. It was my first trip to New York and being there only 3 1/2 days I didn’t know how much I’d get to see so I was thrillled to maange to see two shows while I was out there.
“A Gentleman’s Guide To Love & Murder” was hilarious and fantastic. It was particularly lovely to get to catch up with Scarlett Strallen over lunch while I was out there after seeing her incredible performance as Sibella!
“An American In Paris” was outstanding and beautiful and the dancing was out of this world!
I honestly loved them both and can’t wait to have an opportunity to get back to New York to see more out there. Broadway really is magical.

September 6, 2015 at 11:55 amI'm not normally a huge Cath Kidson fan, but that bag is adorable and possibly the cutest shade of green. Can't wait to read about your New York Adventures 🙂
(P.S. I need that Essie 'Lapiz of Luxury' in my life!)
