Spoilt Rotten! Pre-Bloggers Fashion Week Goodie Bag! | AD

One thing I love about blogger events is discovering new brands, companies and products on the market – there are some truly fascinating products out there!

At our pre-bloggers fashion week dinner (see my post here) we were given a goodie bag full to the brim with goodies for us to try out – I’m not a blogger who is in it for the “free stuff” by any means, but I have had a lot of fun going through this bag and trying everything out so I thought I’d let you know about the products and brands I discovered!

Also, before I start, I just want to say a huge “Thank You” to the brands who contributed to this bag – I am feeling very spoilt indeed! 🙂

So, this is what we had in our lovely goodie bag –

1. LiLash Eyelash Serum and Compact Mirror (£53.93) – image above
www.lilash.com

This eyelash serum conditions and fortifies your eyelash follicles resulting in eyelashes with greater volume, length and condition when used over a period of time.  According to the website, application should be once a day and the results will start showing within 4-6 weeks with ultimate results showing at 12 weeks.
I have started using this today so let’s see what happens in the next 12 weeks – I’m excited to see the effects!
They also do a serum for eyebrows which I’m sure would be of interest to anyone who indulged in the great-overpluck-of-the-00s! 🙂

2. Treevitalise Birch Water (£2.75 each)
www.treevitalise.com
Available to buy online here and here

I have to be honest, I had no idea what Birch Water was until I tried this and had a google as to what it actually was – it turns out it is the next superdrink – similar to coconut water, it has huge health benefits – it claims to treat liver disease, flu, headaches, dandruff, bronchitis, eczema and even claims to reduce cellulite!

Taste-wise, I have to say I’m yet to be fully convinced – the lemon infused flavour is definitely the best of the 3 available – maybe I’m too used to drinks that are a bit sweeter but I found these a little bit bland – having said that, with the health benefits that come with it, i’m sure I could happily get used to it! 🙂

3. Byron Bay White Chocolate & Macadamia Nut Cookies (£3.99 for 6 from the below link)
www.byronbaycookies.co.uk
Available to buy online here.

4. Byron Bay Rosemary & Sea Salt Crispbreads (£1.89 for a box)
www.byronbaycookies.co.uk
Available to buy online here.

Everyone knows that the “free from” side of the food industry is growing rapidly but I have found with a lot of these products I’ve tried in the past, they are, frankly, just not as good as their gluten-inclusive alternative. I have to say with both of these Byron Bay products I was really impressed – unless you told me they were gluten free, I really don’t think I’d know. They are really nice! The cookies are really yummy and having tried the crispbreads I am now saving them for the next time I have people over – I think they would make really really nice canapés with some form of dip or cheese! YUM!

5. Tasty Little Numbers Chocolate Biscuit Bars (£3.00 for a box of 5)
www.tastylittlenumbers.com

I have to say, as a HUGE fan of chocolate, but also as a girl who tends to crave it on such a regular basis that if I gave in at every craving I would be he size of a house, this product is right up my street!
Basically it is a calorie and portion controlled chocolate biscuit bar – three different flavours (White, Milk and Dark), 100 calories a bar – what’s not to love?
More than that though, I just love the company ethic written on the packaging – “If you’re super busy, love life and real food, want to enjoy a healthy lifestyle but think that life is too short to eat diet food and tot up the odd numbers of calories then tasty little numbers is for you!” – I love that! Eat real food, life is just too short!

They have a whole range of products on their website including cakes, muffins, crisps and snack pots and frankly with that business ethic, I’m on board!

6. Pudology Daily and Gluten Free Smooth Chocolate Orange Puds (£3.45 for 2)
www.pudology.com

I have to say this is a product that has REALLY impressed me. Like I said before, I think it is really hard to make a gluten free product taste as good as its gluten-inclusive alternative. This product not only has no gluten, but also no dairy! In my head, as I tried this, I was, honestly, expecting it to taste terrible. I was wrong! These are amazing! Really yummy, really smooth – I want them by the crate load and I want them now!

I had the pleasure of meeting the creator of Pudology, Lucy, at bloggers fashion week and tried a few other flavours and they were all amazing! My favourites have to be the chocolate orange and the millionaire’s shortbread – SO GOOD! Well done Lucy, you have created a product that is dairy and gluten free, but you kept all the yumminess – I don’t know how you did it, but its great!

7. Berrywhite organic drinks
www.berrywhite.com

I actually tried one of these at bloggers fashion week too an was really impressed – These are made with super fruits and healthy fruit extracts and come in a real variety of flavours. They come in still and sparkling varieties so there is something for every occasion!

I particularly liked the Peach and Goji Berry flavour – really fresh and great flavours. There is nothing artificial in them, no added sugar, and they have great charity partnerships so the company are ethical too! Yay! 🙂

8. Timeless Truth Multipeptitude Calming Revitalising Mask ($25.00 for 5)
www.timelesstruthcosmetics.com

I have yet to try this mask, I’m waiting for a night where I’m not up to my eyeballs in jobs and lists so I can have a pamper evening, put this mask on, paint my nails and relax. This company won silver at the pure beauty awards 2014 for their Apple Stem Cell Collagen Mask and are nominated again this year for another of their products – they really know their stuff!

I do love the idea behind it, it is a cloth mask, with freeze dried serum in it which is only released fully when placed on the face, meaning that it really gets into your skin, instead of ending up getting left in the packet, on your fingers or on whatever surface you may be near (it can’t be just me that ends up with products on everything?!?)

I can’t wait to give this a try and will be sure to post a very flattering selfie on twitter and instagram when I do, and I’ll let you know how it goes!

9. Drink Me Chai – Chai Latte Sachets (£6.50 for 20 sachets)
www.drinkmechai.co.uk

I love it when the weather starts getting chilly and the scrummy hot drinks start becoming a necessity to get through the day – these sachets are perfect for keeping in your bag, or desk drawer for that point mid-morning when your brain turns to goo, and you just need 5 minutes to rest and turn your mind off for a bit – plus, I’m a big chai latte girl, and these are actually not too bad for you, with the skinny coming in at 62 calories a cup, and even the regular only coming in at 90, they are totally justifiable!
Can’t wait to give them a try as soon as the cold wind picks up! I can see it now, candles lit at my desk, steaming mug – perfect!

10. Gallardo & Blaine Designs Robin Necklace (£25.00)
www.gallardoblainedesigns.co.uk

I have to admit, I fell a little bit in love with this when I saw it – it is part of Gallardo & Blaine’s wildlife collection, which includes a bird, a fox, a horse, an ivy leaf, a dragonfly, a stag, a shell, a seahorse and of course, this gorgeous robin.

I am actually wearing it as I’m writing this. It’s such a beautiful piece and I love the detail and how understated it is – it really is something you could wear every day.

I met Madeleine Blaine at bloggers fashion week and was blown away by her passion and her talent – the entire range that they do is hand made, and it is all so unique and beautiful. I know where I will be shopping for my christmas presents this year – these pieces are so special and I absolutely love mine.
Thank you Gallardo & Blaine, I’m more than a little in love!

See, I told you I was spoilt rotten! I’m a very lucky girl and I’m so pleased I got to try out all these products and spread the word about these brands to you guys – do let me know if you try any of the products – I’d love to know how you get on with them!
