October Favourites

Happy Halloween you gorgeous lot!!

I have no doubt that you will all be heading out tonight looking suitably terrifying! Bit of a funny concept really, isn’t it? Dressing up as zombies, witches and everything truly scary and heading out in public….ha!

Ok, October Favourites – this month has been a funny one for me. It has involved a lot of planning and a lot of time sat in front of my computer working out logistics etc and not so many exciting days out and big plans…..I reckon it is my life attempting some kind of balance – November is going to be full to the brim with exciting days and big plans so it’s only fair really!

There are some things that have really stuck out to me this month, however, so here are a few!

My New Logo

My logo was launched on October 1st and already I can’t remember being without it. It has so so quickly become part of the identity of my site.Every time I open my page and sit down to write, I see it and feel like my blog has become so much more than just a place I sit and write the thoughts that cross through my mind – it just feels so “me”!I’m so happy with what Harriet, my incredible designer, came up with, and so glad that everyone likes it too! 🙂

Autumn

It has been so so lovely to see the leaves all changing colour this year and noticing the weather getting colder and my increasing need to snuggle up in my onesie.

I have to say, I think my enjoyment of this season has been completely different this year and I put that almost entirely down to being a part of this blogging world. This year, more than any year before I have noticed how gorgeous the leaves are, and how colourful it is. I have noticed every tiny change in the weather and the piles of chocolate and caramel coloured leaves that are building up everywhere we look. Yes, there are arguments against documenting every second of our lives through a camera, but I think being a blogger and having things like instagram to be aware of has made me look around me more and appreciate everything so so much more than I ever have before – Autumn, you’re bloody gorgeous!

Grown Up Colouring Books

As I’ve been spending a lot of time at my desk this month, I’ve found that ideas don’t come to me as easily when I’ve had a long day staring at a screen, but give me 20 minutes with one of these and I seem to come up with all sorts of plans and ideas – plus, they are quite therapeutic and I come away feeling all calm and serene too!Mine are actually colour-in post cards so they are quite a good size for colouring in one sitting and, if you feel like it, you can send them on in the post!

Grey’s Anatomy

I realise I am about 590897540 years late for the boat on this one but this month I have discovered Grey’s Anatomy. I had always heard about people watching it and saying it was awesome, but just never got around to watching it until this month – now, I’m completely hooked. I’ll quite often end up sitting and writing with Grey’s Anatomy playing on my second screen (which is totally not what I have the second screen for….oops!)

It’s safe to say, I’m addicted. I’m on season 3 already! Hehe!

Here’s to an amazing November! 🙂
