I never used to be a crazy organised person. Once upon a time, believe it or not, I was the person who was so disorganised that she forgot that she had to do her English GCSE coursework. As in, actually, forgot. It happened.
Then suddenly when I started at drama school I developed a whole new persona where I had to know everything immediately and my spine started tingling at seeing things in neat piles. I mean I’ve now become nothing short of a stationery whore. I have a long standing relationship with paperchase, I love anything that looks tidy and colourful.
That woman whose organisation and obsession to be neat I used to marvel at? Well, I’ve become that woman. (Weirdly, not in bedrooms, my bedrooms are always messy – but I’m a girl so I get a certain licence to be messy there, right?)
Anyway, I’ve gone off on a bit of a tangent….. Dragging myself back on track (no, I haven’t had a gin and tonic before writing this!)
I am now a BIG fan of anything that feeds my slight OCD in regards to organisational stuff and when I got an email from HerClutterBox asking me if I wanted to try out one of their amazing makeup organisational storage boxes, I, of course, completely jumped at the chance!
I have a urge makeup collection, I think most girls do, but having spent years working on the stage, I literally have everything I would ever even slightly need (and some stuff I never will!). From primer to concealer, various shades of foundation to contour cream and every shade of eyeshadow under the sun – and normally, that collection is stored in various bags and boxes around my already fairly cluttered bedroom.
This innovative and beautiful storage box is absolutely perfect for storing absolutely every bit of my makeup crap. When I started to put it all away, I was convinced that it wouldn’t all fit. That it would be a lovely little idea but that my silly collection of “essentials” wouldn’t fit, but I was proven wrong! It fit, and it fit perfectly! I was so impressed!
Now I’ve got a drawer for nail varnish, a drawer for makeup brushes, a drawer for eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara and a spare set of false eyelashes and a drawer for all things base (primer, foundation, concealer etc) and I love it!
I can get to all the things I need so easily, the drawers slide open so easily and the lid flips open too. I’ve always had so many bits of make up in so many different places and now I have them all in one – it is SO EASY and it’s so pretty too!
I’m completely sold on it – it’s definitely a permanent fixture in my bedroom – and it’ll look AMAZING in my gorgeous new flat in Cambridge (which I CAN’T WAIT to show you all in September!)
