Midwife Mondays 17: Finishing our first module!

That’s it, officially. Our first module is done!

Last Thursday was our final assessment of our first module and we finally did our presentations that we have been working on for what seems like an absolute age.

I have to say, I’ve been so so lucky with my group – we all worked together, everyone put in 110% and we really did put together something to be incredibly proud of! We don’t get our marks for a couple of weeks so we just need to keep our fingers crossed for the time being…I’ll keep you all posted! (cross everything please!)

Moving forwards, we have a research module to work on over the next couple of weeks (which then runs alongside everything until April), and our second midwifery skills module starts in 2 weeks. Then, on Valentine’s week we start our next placement – and this time, DRUMROLL PLEASE……..I’m heading to the Midwife Led Birth Centre!

I can’t wait to see what crazy experiences this next placement brings – 6 weeks of working on the birth centre, with everything that comes with that, and I cannot wait!

We’ve got a quiet few weeks before our next midwifery skills module starts – with just a couple of days in uni for our research module – I’m just taking it as the calm before the storm….I’ve got to know how busy this course is normally, and this is so far from the norm!!

Hope you’ve all had a good week!
