Big news for any future Student Midwives out there; Anglia Ruskin University, one of the UK’s leading Midwifery Education providers, is launching its Midwifery course at their third campus, Peterborough. They already run the highly respected course at two of their campuses, Cambridge and Chelmsford; with nearly 100 midwifery students qualifying every year and entering the NMC register as Newly Qualified Midwives.
The course that will be offered at Peterborough is an identical structure to that at Cambridge and Chelmsford, and as such, is something I am hugely passionate about. I haven’t really spoken on this blog about which university I am at (mainly because I wanted to share my experiences rather than focus on course specifics), but when Anglia Ruskin told me about extending their midwifery education to Peterborough, I just had to share it on here.
The course that I have been on for the past three years at Anglia Ruskin University has been phenomenal. It has given me a grounding of knowledge that will stick with me throughout my career; and has supported me to learn and grow into the midwife I am today (or at least, will be in 5 weeks!) I simply can’t recommend it enough!
This expansion of the midwifery department is creating places for 23 students to study Midwifery at the Anglia Ruskin Guild House site in Peterborough with placements at Peterborough hospital, a site which already works extensively with Anglia Ruskin Nursing and Midwifery teams and has a fantastic reputation.
The lecturers running the course at Peterborough have already been part of the midwifery teaching team at Anglia Ruskin and not only know the course inside out but also have fantastic connections with the hospitals and placement sites so students are supported both in and out of university.
As you can tell, I’m very excited about this expansion to the Anglia Ruskin midwifery department and I am also thrilled to be able to let you know that they have places available NOW for a SEPTEMBER 2019 start – so those of you out there hoping to apply, there are places in clearing RIGHT NOW!!!
