So, I’ve thought a lot about doing this, and its still something I’m learning about and something that I’m gonna have wobbles about, but I’ve had so many questions recently about my life as a midwife; how many hours I work, how much I get paid, how I fit having a real life into working as a midwife, what kinda shifts I work and more, so I’ve decided to expand this platform and start sharing my working life in some videos.
It’s something I’ve tried in the past and fell very quickly out of the habit when life got busy, because I was sharing aspects of my whole life, and I found that I was getting quite uncomfortable with what to share and what to keep private, so I’m going to be quite strict about making sure that any videos I share are pretty much completely about my life as a midwife. I won’t be sharing my personal life; I know that might disappoint some people but I think that a lot of the youtube videos out there seem, for me, to cross a line and share too much of the private life side of things, so I’ll put it out there right now – I won’t be sharing that.
But I will be sharing my tips and tricks for university applications, midwife-bag must haves, and generally my my day to day life as a midwife in the UK. There will be days where I will forget, there will be days when I am REALLY tired, but that is the reality of the job so I hope you guys don’t hold it against me – and the first few videos are definitely going to be a huge learning curve….but here we go!
So, now I’ve explained that, I’ve got a video to share!
I had made the decision to expand A Girl On A Journey into video form in early December, so I thought that it would be a good time to start filming for the run up to Christmas – particularly since I was working on Christmas Day this year for the first time. So, here we go – I hope you enjoy it!
