Expanding A Girl On A Journey onto Youtube – properly!

So for those of you who have followed this blog for a long time will know that I started a Youtube channel a few years back when I first started my midwifery training.
However after a few videos I simply got too busy and found it much easier to blog my training, writing a post a week, rather than try to blog and do youtube too. I think if I’d tried to do both at that point I would have ended up stopping both within a few months, and actually, deciding to focus my online activity on my blog meant that I managed to write every single week for the whole three years which is something I’m hugely proud of!

However, I’ve always had a real interest in sharing video content because I really feel like it gives you a completely different type of connection with the people reading or watching your content, and it opens up opportunities to share some completely different things too.

So, here we go with the big news – now that I’m qualified, and I’m pretty settled into my working life as a midwife, I’ve decided to properly expand A Girl On A Journey onto Youtube.

I have posted a few videos already – still on the same channel I posted on before (www.youtube.com/c/rosieagirlonajourney) and I have decided that I am going to post a new video at least once a week. To start with, I’ve picked Thursday as my upload day, purely because it means that I can do things like weekly vlogs that will finish on a Sunday night and still have time to edit and get it up in time without having to upload things weeks and weeks later. If it turns out that it would be better as a different day then I might change that but initially, it will be Thursday uploads.

I will still be posting blog posts on here as regularly, if not more regularly than I have been, and I will be sharing my videos on individual posts and I’ve also set up a special “Youtube” page on here too for those of you who would prefer to see all my content in one place.

I will be posting a mixture of content, from midwifery stuff, Q&As, foodie things, vlogs, home life and more, so definitely please do subscribe and see what kind of things I put out there.

If there is anything in particular you would like to see on my channel, please do let me know in the comments below! 🙂
