When it comes to pregnancy and parenthood, there are so many decisions to be made – the big one in pregnancy, alongside where you will give birth, how to plan the nursery and other such equally important decision, is whether you want to find out the gender of your baby.
For us, we decided quite early on that we would like to know, and before we knew it the day had come and we were in the car on the way to be scanned to see if we could find out the gender. After initially making it very difficult to see on scan, our baby finally cooperated and we found out – WE ARE HAVING A BABY GIRL!
I’ll put it out there, genuinely, we didn’t mind either way – as long as our baby is healthy that is all we care about, but knowing that she is a girl and being able to refer to the bump as a gender rather than “it” has made it so special from a bonding perspective and we both feel so close to her knowing a tiny little bit more about who she is!
Now we just have to wait until August to meet her!!
