A Girl On A Journey

Midwifery

So, here is the “Student Midwife” section of the A Girl On A Journey Shop.
I’ve tried to include the really sensible things, like the textbooks that we all need, as well as some beautiful and sentimental things for little treats and presents for the student midwives in your lives!

Let me know which are your favourites, or if you think there is anything else I should be including!

A bit about me:
I am 30 years old and live with my wonderful now-husband who I married in June 2021! I am a tea-drinker, a foodie, a dog-mum to a beautiful Sprollie called Murphy, and a lover of theatre and music. I qualified as a Midwife in September 2019 and have been working as a fully qualified Midwife at a UK hospital since October 2019.
I run a blog over at http://www.agirlonajourney.com, in which I have documented my training to be a midwife as well as all things lifestyle, food and wedding. I continue to post regularly on there so please do check it out!

MY FIRST TRIMESTER MUST-HAVES | My absolute necessities to survive the first trimester
YouTube Video UCynzbpR_ntSfBBmRex_UIdA_bTNurXU5fEY
So excited to share this First Trimester update with you guys - I did try to vlog, but as you will hear in the video, I suffered really badly with nausea and vomiting and so the vlog sadly got abandoned!
So, I've done a bit of a sit down chatty video sharing my experiences in the first trimester; highs and lows, early scans, anxiety, telling out families and more.
Bit of a warning; I do mention sickness and vomiting a bit because these were pretty constant in my first trimester so don't feel like you need to watch if that is triggering for you.
Likewise, if watching pregnancy related content in any form is triggering for you for whatever reason, please don't feel like you need to watch this - look after yourself first!

We've got some news - I'm pregnant! Yes, we are having a baby!

It has certainly been a while since I posted on here and I will explain more about that down the line, but the main reason for it has been because I've been growing a tiny human; and my goodness did the first trimester knock me about! I will share more in a first trimester update video soon but for now we just wanted to share our exciting news with you all!

I can't wait to share this journey with you guys; we are both absolutely delighted and can't wait to meet our little one in August 2022!
