This difficult time in all our lives is tough, but I’m finding that it is also reminding me about the things that are really important; family, friends, nature etc. 👫🏼

Before lockdown I wouldn’t have dreamt of letting @matt.griff90 take pictures of me without makeup on, let alone posted it online, but this lockdown has changed my perspective. 😊

It has given me a newfound respect for myself & my body, and for what I’m capable of (12.5 hour shifts on my feet during a pandemic included!) It has reminded me that I am me, with or without makeup, filters and all the rest! ❤️

So here I am, on our walk the other week, messy bun, no makeup, and not a care about it; enjoying the outdoors and time with the man I love - embracing the important things in life (with a bit of silliness thrown in for good measure!) 🥰

Becoming a midwife is quite possibly the greatest achievement of my life to date. Every day I am completely inspired by the incredible women in my care and the remarkable midwives I work with. My job is a complete privilege, even on the tougher days, and being there to support families on the most important days of their lives is an honour I will never underestimate!
