This weekend was a special one - my parents came u

This weekend was a special one - my parents came up to visit for the first time since January! 😊
We had a fab BBQ and a few drinks, and then on Saturday, me, my mum (@claireladkin) & @matt.griff90’s mum (@neenyg61) went wedding dress shopping! 👰🏼
We went to two shops and found a couple of really strong contenders including one that may well be the one! Eek! Just gotta sleep on it a bit now, and maybe try on again to make sure! 🥰

Today was an exciting day - after getting home from my night shift and sleeping for a few hours I finally got my hair done! It’s been 7 months since I was last in - I was booked for an appointment just as lockdown happened - and I can’t tell you how good it feels to have it done! 🥰

And bravo to the whole team at @ndhairandbeauty for all the measures you have put in place to make the salon covid-safe - you’ve obviously gone to a huge effort and it looks fab and feels really safe too! 😊

After a really busy day at work yesterday; helping not one, but two babies into the world, it was so lovely to go and visit the house with @matt.griff90 and see real progress! The bricking is finished and the scaffolding is coming down! 😊

The last few months have been so tough on all of us, and for those of us working in healthcare, it’s has changed our working lives in ways we had never anticipated.

Caring for a woman and helping her baby into the world without her ever seeing your face is something I will never forget - and being able to smile in encouragement at a woman in my care is something I’ll never ever take for granted! 😊
I was gifted this portrait by the incredible @atila_8t4 as a thank you - me, facing up to covid-19, mask and all - and I can’t get over it! 🥰
The stunning colours and patterns, and the gold background - it’s amazing!
@atila_8t4 has also painted a floor-to-ceiling mural of my mask-laiden face in East Dulwich so any of you in that area, please do check it out!
So humbled, honoured and moved by such a generous gesture - and can’t thank @atila_8t4 enough - do check out his amazing work! 😊

If I close my eyes, I can just imagine being in some snazzy sun-soaked resort, in a bikini, with my wonderful fiancé @matt.griff90, a piña colada with my name on it...ah well, using our inflatable hot tub as a paddling pool and settling down with a good book will have to do for now! 😊

Now that it is finally set in stone with contracts exchanged, I’m so excited to be able to share all about our gorgeous new house!
2020 started with the most exciting phone call - our plot was available to reserve - and I don’t think we’ve moved that fast since! This was me first thing the next morning, putting the reserved sticker on our plot on the site map!🥰🏠
