Vlogmas Day 20 was the day we did the socially distanced present exchange with my parents; handing over our Santa sack full of prezzies for the family and being spoilt rotten by them in return. A lovely distanced winter walk, to make up for not being able to see them at all other than this short outdoor visit (we are in Tier 2, as are they, so no rules broken, promise!)

A bit about me:
I qualified as a Midwife in September 2019 and have been working as a fully qualified Midwife at a UK hospital since October 2019. I am 30 years old and live with my wonderful fiancé who I am marrying in 2021!
I run a blog over at http://www.agirlonajourney.com, in which I have documented my training to be a midwife. I continue to post regularly on there so please do check it out!

I finally did some Christmas Wrapping! Talk about leaving it to the last minute - I literally left it to the night before the present exchange to wrap the presents, but after a busy work day, I finally got it done! Yay!

Vlogmas Day 17 is another midwife working day for me, it was also probably the toughest day of my vlogmas challenge so far - and Matt also gave me the opportunity to show how well I know him - his silliness included!

Postponements, cancellations, changing arrangement Postponements, cancellations, changing arrangements, cutting down the guest list of loved ones - this is not what you expect when planning your wedding.
Suppliers have had their livelihoods put in jeopardy for a year now, with no idea when they, or the couples employing them, will be able to go back to normal.
Our own wedding is set to take place in June, and we have had to start thinking about all the “what ifs” for if our wedding is affected. It’s just not what you expect, and the lack of guidance or information for couples and suppliers is inexcusable.
We are very proud that our venue @launcells_barton has been on the forefront during this pandemic; One of the owners, Lara, was the wonderful women who put @borisjohnsonuk on the spot and pushed him for the answers we all need. They have handled this crisis with such dignity, as have all our suppliers, but they shouldn’t have to.
They shouldn’t be in this position and need some guidance as to how we navigate out of this madness.
Please help by supporting #whataboutweddings & #standupforweddings. This situation needs to change, now.

Our beautiful 8 week old Sprollie came home yesterday and we are both absolutely smitten! 🥰
We had 7 hours sleep last night which we weren’t expecting, and even woke up to a dry crate this morning so he seems to be settling in well!

Can’t wait to see my side of the family again too - hopefully sooner rather than later! 🥰
